HPV (human papillomavirus) – Gardasil® $229.99 each
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is given as a series of three injections over six months. In girls and young women, it protects against 4 types of HPV, 2 of which cause about 75% of cervical cancer cases. The vaccination also helps to protect both females and males against genital warts.
What to expect at your visit
1Sign in at the electronic kiosk to see a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. No appointment is necessary.
2Review the Vaccine Information Sheet.
3We will administer the vaccine. Administration is subject to a thorough review by the practitioner.
4The full vaccination series requires 3 visits over 6 months. You will need to return for the second injection in 2 months and then the third injection 4 months later.
5We will give you a visit summary and send it to your primary care provider at your request.
What to know before your visit
- Service is not available in Massachusetts.
- Service availability may vary in Connecticut.
- Patients must be over 9 years old and under 26 years old.
- Patients are able to receive the second and third injection at MinuteClinic, even if we did not administer the first.
- Patient may be up to 28 years old receiving the 2nd or 3rd dose.
- Patients with the following conditions may be referred to another setting:
- History of immediate hypersensitivity reaction to yeast
- History of allergy or serious adverse reaction to previous doses of vaccine
- Pregnant or breast feeding
- Moderate to serious illness
- On anticoagulation therapy, with evidence of serious bleeding
