Deer tick bites $79

When you are hiking, camping or spending time outside you increase your risk of getting a deer tick bite. It is important to remove a tick quickly and completely. It is also important to determine whether you need a tetanus shot. We can examine your bite, make sure the tick is removed safely and if needed, prescribe medication to protect against infection.

What to expect

1Sign in at the electronic kiosk to see a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. No appointment necessary.
2We will review your medical history, discuss your symptoms, conduct an examination and provide you with a customized treatment plan.
3We will give you a visit summary and send it to your primary care provider at your request.

What to know before your visit

Patients with the following conditions may be referred to another care setting:
  • Fever, swollen joints, joint pain, neurological symptoms, flu-like symptoms, stiff neck or facial droop
  • A flat or slightly raised red rash at the site of a tick bite larger than 2 inches wide
  • Pregnancy
