PPSV (pneumonia) vaccine $77
The pneumonia vaccine protects against pneumococcal disease. It is recommended for adults 65 years or older, 19 to 64 year olds who smoke or have asthma and other at-risk groups.
What to expect at your visit
1 Sign in at the electronic kiosk to
see a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. No appointment necessary.
2 Review the Vaccine Information Sheet.
3 We will administer
the vaccine.
4 We will give you a visit summary and
send it to your primary care provider at your request.
What to know before your visit
- We do not provide childhood immunizations other than the flu vaccine
in Massachusetts.
- Patients with a history of adverse reactions to the vaccine may
be referred to another care setting.
- Pregnant women will be referred to another care setting.
- We recommend that patients remain in the clinic waiting area for
20 minutes after receiving vaccinations to ensure there are no negative reactions.
All of our practitioners are trained to respond to anaphylactic reactions and will
see that you receive immediate medical attention.
