Common Signs and Symptoms:
Known exposure to poison ivy, poison oak or poison sumac
Rash
Itching
Redness and swelling
Blisters
Referrals:
Patient will be referred to primary care provider if:
Widespread involvement of rash over trunk and extremities, or marked discomfort or both
Exposure due to smoke with possible inhalation – patient should seek immediate health care attention
Involvement of the eyes or other sensitive areas, such as oral mucous membranes and genitalia
Under 3 years old
Have an immunocompromised condition
