Common Signs and Symptoms:
Vaccine for the prevention of infection with Hepatitis B. Taken in three doses, first dose anytime, second dose 1-2 months after first, third dose 4-6 months after second. Patients with the following will not receive the Hepatitis B Vaccine:
- Allergic reaction to Baker`s Yeast or previous dose of Hepatitis B
- Latex Allergy
- Ill at the time the vaccination is scheduled
Although the possibility is extremely rare, patients should be aware that any vaccine may cause a shock-like or anaphylactic reaction. For your protection, MinuteClinic recommends the following precautions:
- Remain in the clinic waiting area for 20 minutes after receiving your vaccination.
- Alert the practitioner if you experience any systemic allergic reaction.
