Camp Physicals
Camp Physicals
A MinuteClinic camp physical examination is a quick and easy way to receive an assessment of the highest quality, performed by a board-certified and specially-trained MinuteClinic practitioner.
The physical examination will include:
Review of the child’s health history
Review of all immunizations to ensure that they are up to date
Simple physical exam to determine if the patient is able to safely participate in typical camp activities
Safety tips
Patients should come dressed in comfortable clothes, such as shorts and t-shirt to facilitate the exam and minimize disrobing.
Each patient will receive a printed assessment from MinuteClinic stating the results of the exam. Any medical forms provided by the camp will be stamped by our practitioner and will refer the camp to the official MinuteClinic form. Please be sure to bring all required forms related to the camp physical, including the completed health and immunization history.
Notes:
A MinuteClinic camp physical examination is not intended for patients who will be attending camps requiring intense physical activity (ie sports camps).
Not available in the state of New York.
Insurance co-pays will not be accepted as payment for camp physicals
because MinuteClinic does not want a camp physical to replace an annual physical, which we encourage every child to receive from their primary care provider. If a patient does not have a primary care provider, MinuteClinic can provide a list of local physicians who are currently accepting new patients. Cash, personal checks or credit cards will be accepted for the service.
MinuteClinic does not issue "certificates of immunization". Patients should obtain copies from their primary care provider or at the clinic where they routinely receive immunizations. MinuteClinic can only certify/verify immunizations actually administered at MinuteClinic.
MinuteClinic cannot refill prescriptions for conditions that are outside our scope of services. Patients should call their primary care provider to refill any needed prescriptions.
