Common Signs and Symptoms:
An irritating, frequent cough with or without phlegm (duration: one to two weeks)
Sore throat or sinus symptoms may accompany the cough
Referrals:
Patient will be referred to primary care provider if:
Temperature over 103
Your cough has lasted longer than three weeks
You are under 10 years old
You are 65 years old or older
You have a history of asthma or other lung disease or heart disease
You are having difficulty breathing / shortness of breath
You are wheezing / have chest tightness
You have a stiff neck
You have had a recent exposure to dust, chemicals, or smoke
You have an immunocompromised condition
