Who should get tested?

• Adults 20+ should have their cholesterol checked once every 5 years. To get tested at MinuteClinic, you must be 18 years of age or older.

What to expect at your cholesterol screening:

• Risk assessment, including a review of your family history.
• A blood sample will be obtained from your finger for testing. While not required, 
  8 - 12 hours of fasting is recommended for best results.
• Test results (available within 3-5 minutes).
• Education and recommendations for risk reduction, based on your results.
• Referral to your primary care provider if necessary.
