MinuteClinic has partnered with nursing programs throughout the nation to provide a premier preceptor program for nurse practitioner students. The MinuteClinic preceptor program is designed to educate students, not only about clinical processes, but of retail clinics and their role in the changing world of heath care.

The program aims to develop nurse practitioner students to be ready for the real world. MinuteClinic accomplishes this goal by not only meeting the academic standards of the school, but by providing students with a well-rounded experience that includes specialized online training, patient interaction, visibility to our EMR and the opportunity to work in a new and exciting model of health care. Our preceptors have a passion for teaching and sharing their knowledge. All of our providers have exceptional clinical skills and have worked hard to become experts in the operational skills required to run their own clinic. The MinuteClinic preceptors will provide an outstanding educational experience to each of their students.
MinuteClinic’s preceptor program offers the most unique experience available because you are doing more than just enhancing your clinical skills.
- Practical education including clinic operations, public relations, marketing, insurance procedures, and use of evidence based guidelines
- Students will gain exposure to the retail health care model of service delivery and develop an understanding of how the clinics fit into the future of health care delivery
- Develop an understanding of how a corporation relates to and supports the advancement of clinical practice
- Flexible schedules with sites available 7 days a week allow for a variety of clinical rotation sites and times
To participate, you must be enrolled at a nurse practitioner or physician assistant program that has partnered with MinuteClinic and have completed at least 1 semester of your Master's program.
